a maker blackout

Newsletter Issue #
8

Hey friends,

I hope you still remember me. I missed sending my newsletter for the past 2 weeks. Earlier this month, I moved with my girlfriend to Greece to try and enjoy what left of this year, but it's still 2020, so of course, I got sick for a couple of days. Long story short, I had a blackout.

For those two weeks, my productivity tanked. I didn't make much progress with my projects. I don't remember what I was working on and now it feels SO HARD to go back on track and be productive (I was supposed to send this email on Sunday, today is Tuesday!!).

But as the Japanese proverb says: "Nana korobi, ya oki" or, in other words, fall down seven times, stand up eight. So here I'm trying to stand up again and get back on track.

Last month I built tweety.app. This month I started to work on the next version. So I created a new landing page and built a web app with TailwindCSS, which was quite fun to use! I also decided to give it a new name and call it Hatchy.app! For the rest of this month, I will finish some core functionalities like scheduling tweets & threads and fix bugs to launch the Beta version.

p.s If you don't hear from me next Sunday, please drop me a message; I could use the extra pressure. The last thing I need is another blackout.

Have a great week 🤟🏼

Jamal

Quote of the week

Never forget why you’re really doing what you’re doing. Are you helping people? Are they happy? Are you happy? Are you profitable? Isn’t that enough?
